Jared Winkers is the Director of Planning at Rothschild Wealth Partners, where he supports advisors in servicing clients nationwide, particularly in areas of advanced planning including business transition, estate planning, and income tax optimization. With six years of experience working with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients across the country, his knowledge spans estate planning, tax management, liquidity events, business succession, executive compensation, and charitable giving strategies. Jared holds the CFP®, ChFC®, and CAP® designations and a Master of Science in Financial Planning from The American College of Financial Services. His work has been featured in the Journal of Financial Planning and published on Kitces.com, two of the most respected platforms in the profession.
Jared’s path into financial planning started early. As a teenager in Iowa, he reached out to dozens of local advisors and asked to meet with them over coffee or in their offices, just to learn about the work. That curiosity never faded. Today he channels it into one of the more distinctive corners of his work: teaching “AI Foundations for Financial Advisors” at UC Berkeley Extension, where he helps advisors understand how emerging technology intersects with the planning profession. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
Jared also volunteers his time through Advisors Give Back, conducting pro bono financial planning calls each week and presenting at nationwide webinars on financial planning topics.
When he steps away from the office, Jared feeds his sense of adventure through travel. Recent highlights include cities across Japan, a trip through Spain, France, and England, and a cross-country road trip stretching more than 3,400 miles from Indiana to Los Angeles.
