As Chief Growth Officer at Rothschild Wealth Partners, Mac O’Brien is responsible for driving the firm’s expansion strategy with a focus on identifying and integrating acquisition opportunities that align with the firm’s long-term vision. He works closely with senior leadership to evaluate partnerships and scalable growth initiatives that preserve Rothschild’s commitment to relationship-driven wealth management.
Mac brings more than two decades of experience in financial services, most recently serving as Head of Investment U.S. Distribution at Morningstar Wealth, where he led national distribution efforts and collaborated with leading Broker/Dealers, Financial Advisors, and RIAs across the country. In this role, he played a key part in building and executing a nationwide growth strategy while managing a high-performing sales organization.
Earlier in his career, Mac held Managing Director roles at Zacks Investment Management, Dearborn Capital Management, and Astor Investment Management. Across these firms, he led teams across Sales, Marketing, and National Accounts while contributing to firmwide strategy and product development. He began his career in equity research, developing a foundation in quantitative modeling and portfolio construction.
Mac earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan. He lives in Glen Ellyn with his wife and children. He is active in his local community as a youth sport coach.
